Joshua Peterson as Pirate Captain
Joshua Peterson as Pirate Captain
When Joshua Peterson walks down the street, he watches for life’s special effects: the old bench that wobbles and creaks when a squirrel leaps down from the tree that lost a branch in a storm, the reflection of light from the passing car’s windows and mirrors, or the sound of the breeze catching the shape of his ears. He brings these details into his light and sound designs, putting life’s effects on stage.
Josh has worked in various environments: 100-year-old theatres, outdoor venues, and even the middle of a mall, putting sound, lights, and life into any scenario. Praised for troubleshooting and creating solutions, Josh has never let a challenge stop him.
Josh has worked with children’s theatre and community theatre, taking on multiple roles to see the show through to the end. With DPAC (Discovering Potential through Arts Creativity), based in Manti, he has designed and ran lights; designed, built, and painted sets; and set up and ran sound for various musicals, recitals, and concerts, including a traveling show choir. He has been described as dependable and responsible, ensuring that the show goes on safely!
